Meet Dr. Fox

With over twenty three years of experience in corneal and refractive surgery, Dr. Fox is recognized as one of the leaders in his field. As Medical Director of the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Practice he performs over 100 corneal transplant operations yearly for patients throughout the metropolitan area and in his role as TLC medical director he has performed over 10,000 laser vision correction procedures. Both ophthalmologists and optometrists often seek his expertise in the management of their most difficult cases. He is active in research and teaching at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Fox is frequently invited to lecture on topics in corneal disease and refractive surgery and has been featured at the national meetings of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. His expertise in the management of post operative problems after refractive surgery have earned him the respect of colleagues throughout the U.S. He has been featured in national TV productions including The View and Good Morning America.

Cited by New York Magazine as one of the areas foremost Refractive Surgeons, Dr. Fox was one of the first Corneal Surgeons to introduce the LASIK procedure in the tri-state area. He is active in the introduction of new technology into clinical practice including Wavefront guided laser vision correction, intraocular contact lenses, the surgical correction of prebyopia and the use of INTACS intracorneal segments in the treatment of Keratoconus.

Dr. Fox remains enthusiastic with the safety and effectiveness of modern techniques in refractive surgery. He finds great satisfaction in helping patients to improve upon the quality of their lives by achieving independence from contact lenses or glasses.
